A Walk in the Woods: Imagination and the Elements of Nature in Chekhov's Work

Join us for an imaginative yet physical exploration of the images of trees and the forest. 

As we embody roots, branches, and the changing seasons, we’ll explore Chekhov tools such as the imaginary body, gesture, and atmosphere. Inspired by the laws of nature, we’ll discover pathways both to ourselves and to the process of creating a role.

Dominika Handzlik is an actor, musician, and educator from Poland. She is an alumna of the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Kraków and the CUNY Brooklyn College MFA Acting Program, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar and recently served as MFA faculty teaching the Michael Chekhov Technique. Last year she completed the MICHA Teacher Training.
