The ideal centre lies both at the heart of Michael Chekhov's technique, with the potential to inform everything we do as actors and at the same time the first step towards what, as Chekhov said, the actor most longs for: transformation, transformation into character. It has the ability to awaken the artist in each of us in a gentle, easy way: please join the exploration and let your creative imagination play with and explore the ideal centre!


Born in London, Sarah Kane initially studied Steiner's Creative Speech in Europe and the UK, then found her own way to learn Chekhov by studying with a good number of the first generation of teachers, such as Graham Dixon, Felicity Mason, Mala Powers and Dierdre Hurst du Pre.
