Bethany Caputo

is an actress and a teacher in New York City. She performs regionally at such theatres as Arena Stage, The Goodman, Pittsburgh Public Theatre. Ms. Caputo studied at the  Moscow Art Theatre where she was introduced to the Chekhov Technique  in 1997. She is on faculty with MICHA, the Michael Chekhov School of Acting in Hudson, NY, Terry Knickerbocker Studios, The New York Drama Center, The New School in NYC, and Point Park University. She assists Joanna Merlin at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and has taught at various other graduate programs including Stony Brook University,  Brooklyn College and Southern Methodist University. Through the MCAS, she taught at the University of the Arts in Zurich, and at the Shanghai Theatre Academy. She taught at the Victoria College of the Arts (VCA) and at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney. Ms Caputo can be seen in MICHA’s Master Classes DVD series  and she collaborated and performed with Chekhov based theatre companies such as The Actors Ensemble, The Moving Dock Theatre  Company, and with the company at the Michael Chekhov Acting Studio.
