Anne Gottlieb

Anne Gottlieb

is an actress, director, and the founder of FortyMagnolias Productions, dedicated to new work and the exploration of the collaborative process. She is a Resident Scholar in Collaborative Theatre at the Women’s Studies Research Center at Brandeis University. Ms. Gottlieb has appeared in numerous award-winning productions in the Northeast, and received the 2004 Independent Reviewers of New England Award for her portrayal of Emma in Betrayal and Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra. Her original adaptation, Anam Cara: Two Women Fall into the Myth of Gilgamesh toured to the Roy Hart International Centre in Southern France. Anne has taught acting and voice at the University of Rhode Island, Boston College, The University of Southern Maine, and Brandeis University. She appeared in MICHA’s Master Classes DVD series. Directing credits include productions for Southwick Studios, The Actor’s Ensemble, Oxford University, Keble College, Boston Playwrights Marathon and the Brandeis Festival of the Arts.
