SUMMER WORKSHOP
MICHA organizes
a 10 day international workshop every summer. A rotating international
faculty conducts classes for approximately 70 students. In the
past MICHA has welcomed participants from 20 countries and has been
the guest at Universities and theater centers in the Netherlands,
Canada, Croatia, Italy, and the United States.
Workshop participants are actors, teachers and directors. Previous
experience in the Chekhov Technique is not necessary in order to
attend. When registering we ask that you provide a resume and list
of teachers with whom you have worked. Participants are divided
into groups based on their prior experience with the technique.
A typical day begins with a warm-up followed by a morning and afternoon
class. Evenings are devoted to special workshops, festival performances
and lectures.
For a detailed account of the workshops please read one
of our newsletters.
The 2008 International Michael Chekhov Workshop and Festival will take place at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada June 29, 6 p.m. - July 7, 10 p.m.
