Workshop participants are professional actors, teachers and directors. Previous
experience in the Chekhov Technique is not necessary in order to
attend. A typical day begins with a warm-up followed by a morning and afternoon
class. Evenings are devoted to special workshops, performances
and lectures from the MICHA and Southampton Arts Community.

Theater of the Future participants are professional and non-professional performers, directors, teachers, scholars, students and anyone else who is inspired by Michael Chekhov's technique. Housing Fees
$555 single / $475 double July 8 arrival, July 16 departure
$420 single / $360 double July 8 arrival July 14 departure
A limited number of single rooms are available and will be allotted on a first come basis. Dorm rooms are clean and spartan. All rooms have occupant controlled air conditioning. Linens and pillows are provided. There are no telephones, televisions or refridgerators in the dorm rooms. 3-6 rooms share a suite and bathroom with multiple showers and toilets. Housing off campus in the Southampton community is limited to bed and breakfasts and hotels with an average rate of $300 per night.
Those who would like to attend only the Theater of the Future open space but not the Workshop must wait to register for housing until April 1. If housing is available it will accomodate a July 14th morning arrival and July 16th morning departure.

MICHA has organized an international workshop for the last 13 summers. A rotating international faculty conducts classes for approximately 40-100 participants. In the past MICHA has welcomed participants from 20 countries and has been the guest at Universities and theater centers in the Netherlands, Canada, Croatia, Italy, and the United States.
