THE MICHAEL CHEKHOV STUDIO U.S.A. WEST (Los Angeles)

The Studio offers year-round training in Michael Chekhov's Technique on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings and an invitational Master Class/Workshop on Saturday afternoons. THE MICHAEL CHEKHOV THEATRE INSTITUTE (Gorham)

The Institute is administered by the University of Southern Maine in conjunction with the National Michael Chekhov Association of Los Angeles and the executrix of Michael Chekhov's estate.

The institute is usually held in June of each year.

NEW YORK

THE ACTORS' ENSEMBLE (New York City)

The Actors' Ensemble (TAE) was founded in 1985 by a group of professional actors who were trained in the acting techniques of Michael Chekhov. They began working together with the mission of developing the art of the actor, researching the theatre event, and creating theater ensemble. Two of the founders, Ted Pugh and Fern Sloan, headed the acting program of the Michael Chekhov Studio in New York City during the final three years of its existence.

In 1997, The Actors' Ensemble relocated to Columbia County from New York City to continue developing their unique style of theater. Its current artistic home is at The Spencertown Academy, where the Ensemble also offers acting workshops.
